Especializado em cozinha italiana, no in\u00edcio da sua carreira o paulistano radicado em Florian\u00f3polis estudou tamb\u00e9m a gastronomia francesa na renomada \u00c8cole H\u00f4telier de La Rochelle, na Fran\u00e7a. Ainda jovem, estagiou nos principais restaurantes das capitais gastron\u00f4micas europeias. De volta ao Brasil, chefiou restaurantes de diversos hot\u00e9is e resorts at\u00e9 abrir o seu pr\u00f3prio restaurante, onde foi eleito por tr\u00eas vezes o chef do ano pela revista Veja Comer &amp; Beber, e por duas vezes, sob o seu comando, a Cantina Sangiovese foi eleita o melhor restaurante italiano de Santa Catarina.<\/p>\n<p>No in\u00edcio de 2014, ganhou o Pr\u00eamio Nacional D\u00f3lm\u00e3, que \u00e9 o pr\u00eamio m\u00e1ximo da gastronomia brasileira e que o colocou na posi\u00e7\u00e3o de embaixador da gastronomia catarinense para o Brasil. Ainda em 2014, lan\u00e7ou o livro de receitas autorais intitulado \u201cEntre Sabores\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Atualmente, o chef Helton Costa \u00e9 s\u00f3cio \u00a0propriet\u00e1rio do restaurante Porto dos Guar\u00e1s, aberto em janeiro de 2020 em plena pandemia.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>H\u00e1 30 anos, o chef Helton Costa se dedica \u00e0 arte de cozinhar.
